Our pork is raised humanely, in an ethical environment, which allows them to live as naturally as possible. They are able to dig, root, wallow, and forage for natural food. We supply them with a wholesome homestead diet, shelter and soft bedding plenty of fresh air, and sunshine. This results in a delicious and nutrient dense pork that cannot be found in stores. Our pork is available by cut, and in farm bulk bundles and processed in a USDA Facility.
We raise a unique flock of Finn Sheep. They are an ancient Nordic breed. This weather hardy beautiful fleeced sheep are clever foragers which we utilize to turn overgrown fields and hedges into lush grazing meadows. The are a key factor in our regenerative healthy soil system. This amazing breed has a wonderful delicate lamb taste and lean marbling. lamb raised in this way is a super food high in necessary omega 3 fats. Our superior lamb is available by the cut and processed in a USDA facility.
Sourdough is one of the oldest traditional bread making methods. It was a key factor in most pioneer homesteads. This traditional, fermented bread is made from wild yeast cultivated from a homemade starter. The starter is then fed and incorporated into each new loaf. Each loaf takes three days to make from the initial starter feed to the long ferment rise to the final bake in a cast iron Dutch oven. The fermentation process creates a nutrient dense, easily digestible, whole grain food. These beautiful loaves are available at The Farm Stand.
Sadie keeps a beautiful flock of true free-range chickens that lay an assortment of colored eggs. She diligently cares for her happy hens every day, and hand gathers the eggs from hay bedded nesting boxes each afternoon. She arranges the eggs into a rainbow in the cartons and offers them for sale at The Farm Stand.
Our beef is raised in a sustainable and regenerative way, rotating our herd through our many fields allowing earth to heal and regrow in between grazing. The hay we supply the cows is also made exclusively by us, to ensure we are supplying them with the best forage possible. Our herd is treated with respect, lovingly cared for, and is the backbone of our farm. Beef is available by the cut and is processed in a USDA facility.
Our maple syrup is harvested the old fashion way and boiled over an open fire in small batches. The beautiful maple trees which produce our sap are located all over our beautiful acreage, and some are at least a hundred years old.
Our variety of vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers are grown as organically as possible! We grow on our farm organic, local and non GMO seeds. We employ regenerative practices such as companion planting, rotational garden spaces, and utilize our free range poultry to deter pests, instead of spraying unhealthy pesticides and herbicides. We also utilize the composted manure of our livestock to naturally fertilize the Plant gardens. This keeps the cycle of essential minerals and vitamins present in our rich soil. The lively farm fresh flowers are grown and harvested here in the farm, and we offer a “Bouquet Buffet” where you can visit the farm stand create your own flower arrangement.
Our farm features an apothecary which offers healthy, clean and pure herbal care. Loose leaf tea, pure Skin and beauty care, and herbal tinctures, syrups, and oils are just a few of the herbal care items we make. Healthy, clean, and pure living is one of our deepest passions and our biggest “why” for living and raising our family on a farm, and we want to share some of our knowledge and products with our community.
